In 1958 Hollywood came to Rome to film the epic movie - BEN HUR.

In those days CGI did not exist, everything was done on a grand scale, including the thousands of extras needed.

Sandro was 21 and Cesare was 19, they were chosen as extras in 3 scenes, most notably the chariot race scene - shown here.

HINT: Around the 4-minute mark, note the 4 men carrying out the stretcher, Cesare is back left, and Sandro is back right, they pick up the body of Messala - that just got trampled - and take him away.
